ARG drivers operate tractor-trailer units to deliver petroleum products primarily in New York State, Canada, and the surrounding states.

What does it take to become an ARG driver? Our professionals are rigorously trained and certified to meet all government regulations. They must hold a commercial driver license (CDL) class A with hazmat and tanker endorsements, a medical certification, pass a background check, and undergo classroom training requirements.

Driver Supervisor – Dispatch

As members of the terminal dispatch staff, driver supervisors execute the daily dispatch responsibilities for a truckload terminal and daily supervision of drivers. Their duties include; customer service, load scheduling, assigning work to drivers, monitoring drivers and equipment, evaluating driver performance, enforcing company policies and procedures as it concerns drivers, administering safety programs, and general office duties as assigned by their Terminal Manager or Dispatch Operations Supervisor.

License: CDL class A with haz-mat and tanker.

Physical Requirements:

  • Pass all DOT requirements including physical requirements, road test, and drug screen.
  • Drive a tractor-trailer for entire workday including over nights.
  • Climb in and out of truck and trailer frequently during workday.
  • Ability and strength to walk, stoop, squat, bend, and lift frequently during the work day performing various driver duties.
  • Ability and strength to handle 3-5 inch fuel hoses weighing up to 100 lbs, carry pipe fittings weighing up to 25 lbs, open tank covers, climb trailer ladders and walk on catwalks.
  • Ability to perform administrative duties including filling out paperwork, reading documents, and using the phone on the road.
  • Educational Requirements: High School Diploma; Associates Degree, Bachelors Degree preferred, or equivalent work experience. Must be able to read, write, and do basic math.
